Referees Wanted

As our high quality event continues to grow, the Capital Cup is always looking for quality referees.  We will be using CVSRA for the Capital Cup this year!  If you are interested in refereeing the tournament, please contact Beth Hatchel with CVSRA!

The Capital Cup does not tolerate referee abuse of any kind.  The decisions of the referee are final and cannot be changed or disputed.  If you have a question or a concern about a referee, if you hear or see referee abuse, or are the target of referee abuse please contact the Tournament Director.

Benefits of Refereeing the Capital Cup

The Capital Cup values the contribution referees make to our event.  We could not host a successful tournament without all of the hours and effort our officials put forth.  As a result, we do our best to take care of all Capital Cup referees!  Here are some of the benefits of refereeing the Capital Cup:

• Assessment and Mentorship - The 2012 Capital Cup will have two (2) State Referee Assessors on site throughout the tournament.  These assessors will be available for referees wishing to work towards upgrading, and will be helping and mentoring young officials.
   
• Referee Gift - The Capital Cup provides a referee gift as a token of our appreciation for all the hard work our officials do!
   
• Pre Tournament Meeting and Thursday Night Social - Every tournament, the Capital Cup staff host a referee social on Thursday night before the event.  This is a great chance for referees to meet one another, speak with Capital Cup staff and just relax before the tournament begins!
   
• Food Coupons - The Capital Cup provides officials working a certain number of games with food coupons, redeamable at the concession stand!

Referee Certification Classes

Please understand that the Capital Cup only uses certified officials for our tournament.  If you are interested in signing up to referee one of Dynamo’s tournaments please contact the Tournament Director.
